Sobre projecte audiovisual comenius / About the short film Comenius

L'objectiu d'aquest projecte és estimular als alumnes dels diferents països participants en la creació d'un curmetratge, que serà rodat per una comissió audiovisual de l'escola Vida Montserrat, composada per alumnes i professors.

The project's aim is to stimulate the pupils from differents countries in the creation of a shortfilm that wil be filmed by an audiovisual comission from Escola Vida Montserrat, composed by pupils and teachers.

El tema general d'aquest projecte és "la comunicació no verbal". Per tal de poder començar a crear un guió des dels diferents països, fora interessant tenir en compte les següents pautes:

The general theme's project is "Non verbal comunication", so in order to create a script from the different participant countries, it would be interesting to follow this guidelines:

1. La durada aproximada de cada historia ha de ser de dos minuts. The aproximate duration of each story will be two minuts.

2. La idea seria crear set petites histories independents relacionades amb el tema general de la comunicació no verbal. The idea will be to create svent small independent stories (as many as participating countries) related to the general theme of "Non verbal comunication".

3. Una possible concreció del tema general seria: Davant d'un conflicte generat per la comunicació verbal o convencional, s'estableix una feliç resolució a través del llenguatge no verbal o del cos. (Caldrà treballar més aquest aspecte). A posible concretion of the theme would be: In front of a conflict that has been generated with verbal comunication, we find a happy solution from the "non verbal comunication". (We should work more on this point). 

4. Cada país rebrà una instrucció formativa per tal de poder començar a treballar en el projecte, que tindria els següents passos: All the participant countries will recieve a formative introduction in order, to start working in the project with the following steps:

       

- Formació adreçada als mestres per poder dur a terme els següents punt. Teacher trainning for the teachers in order to be able to bring to fruition all the point. 

- Fer una reunió amb tots els participants de cada país, amb l'objectiu de decidir una petita historia que respecti el tema general. A meeting with all the participants in each country, with the aim to choose a small story related to the general theme.

- Escollir i distribuir a tots els participants en els diferents rols (Director, Assistent de     càmera, de so, guionistes i planificadors del story board...). Decide and distribute to all the participants the different roles (Film director, Camera assistant, sound assistant, script and story board planning).

- Escollir la localització de la historia (on serà rodada). Choose the story's location (where it would be filmed).

- Generar un guió a partir de la idea de la nostra historia i paral·lelament dibuixar el storyboard. Generate a script from the story's idea and also draw the storyboard.

- Enviar tota aquesta informació al país que farà el rodatge i planificar conjuntament el mateix (Distribució de la historia en seqüències, planificar els temps de rodatge, les localitzacions, la distribució de les diferents tasques...). Send all this information to the filming partner and plan it together (story's distribution, time planning, locations, distribute the tasks...).

5. Un cop rebuda tota la informació dels diferents països i planificat el rodatge, es passarà a l'execussió dels mateixos a les dates concretades. When all the information is recived from differents countries and the filming is been planned, the filming will be done during the planned dates.

6. La última fase serà la postproducció i edició de les histories. Aquesta es durà a terme per part del país que farà el rodatge i atenent a l'esperit de les histories planificades a cada país. Last step is postproduction and edition of the stories. This will be done by the filming partner (Escola Vida Montserrat) and keeping the stories's spirit from each country. 

Caldrà concretar un nexe visual per encadenar les histories, per reforçar la globalitat de l'obra assolida a partir de tractar d'un mateix tema. We will need to find a visual link to chain all the stories together to reinforce the globality of the final product from using the same theme (maybe "shadow of the wind" in each country's language!!)

Remarcar que l'objectiu final és estimular la participació en els diferents nivells del projecte, des dels més bàsics fins als més complexos, amb l'ànim d'aprofitar tota la creativitat que posseeixen els nostres alumnes, per fer pujar la seva autoestima en la realització de la seva obra, així com pel seu control exercit en la mateixa. 

Note that final aim is to stimulate the participation in the differents levels of the project, from the more basic ones to the more complex ones, with the idea of bring out all the creativity within our pupils and the raise their selfsteem while completing the work and their involvement and control of the same.

"PRESÈNCIES"

El projecte de "land art", realitzat per l'escola, va venir determinat per la localització on es realitzaria el crèdit de síntesi: Empúries. Aquella va ser l'àrea geogràfica escollida per la cultura grega primer i per la romana després, per instal·lar-se en la península. Aquest fet ens va servir com a excel·lent excusa per reflexionar sobre els motius que porten a un home, a un poble, a llançar-se al descobriment dels inexplorat, del desconegut, del que és nou.

Més enllà dels factors movilitzadors de tipus econòmic o polític, ens interessava detenir-nos en un altre factor, individual i profund, que sorgeix davant de la contemplació d'aquell espai no trepitjat encara per cap altre home, inexplorat, immaculat, verge. Un impuls que porta a qüestionar el que és familiar, a abandonar el conegut i marxar cap a territori desconegut, el que és nou. Un desig que es materialitza, finalment, deixant en el lloc una marca, una petjada, un testimoniatge de la nostra presència.

Amb aquest objectiu, ens desplaçàrem fins a la platja on hi ha l'antic moll dels grecs (s. II a.C) per aplanar, amb unes escombres de fusta, una superfície de la platja, eliminant qualsevol petjada anterior, de tal manera que recordés l'estat del lloc tal i com el van trobar aquells navegants grecs. Després d'aquest treball, que va suposar la part més llarga de l'activitat, els alumnes expressaven quin era el sentiment que els apareixia a mesura que la desenvolupaven. Davant d'un espai immaculat i nou, un solament: Trepitjar-ho, marcar-ho, fer-se present.

The land art project was determined by the location where we did our yearly "Credit de Sintesi", a week of work out of the school in Empuries. There it was the area chosen by the ancient greeks and romans after them, to enter the Iberian peninsula. This was an excellent excuse to reflect about the reasons that a man, a culture, to jump into the unexplored, into the unknow, the new land. 


Further away from the economic or politic mobilizacions, we were interested in another factor, single and profound, that appears enfront of the untrodden space, unexplored, virgin. There's a impluse that bring us to question what's familiar, to leave unto unknown territory, new. A desire that's materialised finally, leaving in a place a mark, a footprint, a testimoni of our presence. 


With this objective we went to the beach were there's the ancient greek pier (s.II bC) to flatten a beach surface, to remove previous footprints, so it will remind us the state of the place that they found when they arrived (the greek travelers). After this work, that was the hardest and longest part, the pupils could express what was their feeling while they worked. And what was the feeling enfront an immaculate space and new there was only one: To step on it, to mark it, to make themselves present. 

TOTS A PUNT PER RODAR. Everybody ready to record

1. Els rols tècnics - Tecnichal roles

Director/a - Director: Organitza a tot l'equip per portar a terme el rodatge. Organizes all the team to carry through the filming.

Sonidista - Sound engineer: Porta la pertiga i s'encarrega de posar el micro en el millor lloc per captar el so i que no aparegui a càmara. He carries the microphone pole and is in charge of dropping the microphone in the best possible way to captures the sound without appering on the camera.

Ajudant the sonidista - Sound engineer assistant: Porta els auriculars i controla que el so es registri correctament. He wears the headphones and controles that the sound is getting registered correctly. 

Càmera - Camera technician: Col·loca la càmera, busca l'enquadrament, assegura que la imatge sigui correcte i grava quan el director/a ho indica. He places the camera and looks for the correct frame, he ensures that the images are correct and records when the director says it. 

Ajudant de càmera - Camera's asistant: S'encarrega de portar i muntar el trípode i ajuda amb les funcions de càmera. He is in charge of carrying and mount the tripod and also helping with the camera's functions. 

Script: Seguiment de tots els elements que apareixen a càmera perquè no es perdi la continuïtat entre pla i pla. Evitar "gazapos". Tracking all the elements that appear on camera in order not to loose continuity between shots - Avoid mistakes.

Claquetista - Slate assistant:Encarregat d'escriure i cantar claqueta abans de cada pla. He is in charge of writing and informing before each shot.

Elèctrics - Electric assistants: Responsables de tot el cablejat. Compte amb les estirades!! They are in charge of all the cables and wires. Be careful with streching!!

Direcció artística - Artistic director:S'ocupa dels elements estètics i decoratius del pla. He/She is in charge of the aesthetic and decorative elements in a shot. 

2. Rols artístics - Artistic roles


Actor/actriu protagonista - Lead actors: Personatge principal del curmetratge. Han d'estudiar els diàlegs del guió, la personalitat del personatge i actuar davant la càmara. Main character of the film. He/She has to study the dialogues in the script, the characters personality and to act in front of the camera.


Actors/actrius secundaris - Secundary actors: Apareixen en alguna part del curmetratge interactuant amb els personatges principals. They appear in a part of the short film and they interact with the lead actors. 


Figurants - Extras: Són aquelles persones que apareixen a pla formant part d'un ambient (en un bar, en una aula, etc.). Aprofitem els alumnes de l'aula perquè facin aquest rol. They are the people that appear in a short been part of an ambient (in a bar, classroom, etc.). We will use the classroom pupils for this role.
